Today we announced the Synthesized integration with UiPath Test Cloud. A UiPath test can now invoke a Synthesized data workflow before it runs, so the compliant, production-realistic and connected data the scenario needs is prepared on demand rather than by hand. Here is why we built it, how it works and where you can see it live.
Automated tests still wait on data
Test automation has come a long way. Teams design, orchestrate and run thousands of tests across custom-built applications, APIs, web and mobile front ends, packaged systems such as SAP and, increasingly, the AI agents that act on them. But ask any quality engineering or development team what stops a green build and the answer is rarely the test itself. It is the data.
The records a test needs are missing when it is scheduled to run. A hardcoded customer was consumed or changed by an earlier test. Production data cannot be copied into a lower environment without approved treatment. Related records across connected systems drift out of step. Parallel runs compete for the same shared records. Every one of these is a data problem, and every one of them blocks an otherwise fully automated test.
Test data management was never built for this
Most teams cope in one of two ways. Some prepare data manually, hardcode records or refresh copies of production. Others rely on legacy test data management vendors whose tools were designed for a different era: script-heavy, slow to change and disconnected from the pipelines that run the tests. What both approaches share is that data lives outside the testing workflow, so every automated test still waits on a separate, manual data step.
Direct integration between a test automation platform and a test data platform remains rare in the market, and we believe it marks a game-changing shift: from test data management as a standalone discipline to test data automation that runs as part of the test itself. Legacy test data tools were never designed to sit inside an automated testing workflow. Synthesized was built AI-native to do exactly that, using AI to understand data, relationships and business conditions, generate what each scenario needs and provision it on demand.
How the integration works
The integration supports an end-to-end workflow:
- Define the requirements. Specify the test scenario, required data, privacy treatments and systems in scope.
- Request data from UiPath. A configured UiPath workflow invokes the relevant Synthesized data workflow.
- Prepare the test data and environment. Synthesized generates, transforms or provisions the data into the test environment, applying the specified relationship rules and compliance constraints.
- Execute the test. UiPath runs the test once the required data and environment are available.
- Reuse the workflow. Teams rerun the configured data workflow for subsequent test cycles or planned refreshes.
Because the data workflow is configured once and reused, teams stop rebuilding the preparation process for every run. And because data is prepared for the scenario rather than the field, a business-process test such as SAP Order-to-Cash gets related customers, products, orders and invoices in the required state, not just plausible individual records.
Built for every team that ships software
This is not only for SAP or packaged enterprise applications. Any team running automated tests in UiPath Test Cloud can use it:
- Software developers testing custom-built applications and APIs who need realistic, compliant data in every environment, from local through to staging.
- Quality engineering teams who want success, rejection, boundary and edge-case coverage without raising a data request first.
- DevOps and platform teams scaling parallel execution without tests competing for shared records.
- SAP transformation and application-delivery teams who need related data to stay consistent across connected systems.
The same foundation for validating AI agents
When the system under test is an AI agent acting on business applications, the data problem does not go away. Testing a successful transaction, an expected rejection or an unusual business situation still requires the corresponding records, relationships and conditions to exist. The Synthesized platform provides that governed, reusable data foundation for software testing and enterprise AI agent validation alike.
"A test can be fully automated and still be blocked by enterprise data and test environments," says Nicolai Baldin, Founder and CEO of Synthesized. "Our role is to make the required states available with the controls, relationships and business conditions the scenario needs, so teams spend less time preparing data and more time validating the processes that matter."
See it live at UiPath FUSION 2026
The integration is available now. Synthesized is an official sponsor of UiPath FUSION 2026, 22 to 25 September at Wynn, Las Vegas, and the only test data vendor sponsoring the event. Come to the Synthesized stand to see test data on demand for UiPath Test Cloud in action, or book a meeting ahead of time.
